What is composite?

Composite is derived from the Latin word “componere”.  Composite materials are made by combining two or more materials (physical not chemical), thereby creating a new material with specially intended and superior properties.

A fundamental advantage of composite materials is an extreme flexibility in shape and strength.

The material-technical properties is thus a function of the quality and properties of the materials, the combination of the materials (matrix, armoring, hardener, additives) as well as the production process and production conditions.

The possibilities are limitless!

Composite materials can be recycled with or without processing. By recycling almost equivalent properties are obtained, in some cases they are even improved compared to new material.

Environment

Composite (thermoset plastic) can be recycled with or without processing. If the material is not recycled, it decomposes and become part of the natural cycle again. By recycling almost equivalent properties are obtained, in some cases they are even improved compared to new material. Tunetanken receive own manufactured products back for recycling/life circle security. An environmentally healthy, return and recycling system are worth the operating costs. Our costumers contribute to the existence of this system by paying an environmental fee that is added to each invoice.
